Messi
Lionel Messi is from Argentina. He started playing football at the age of eight. The first club for which he played was the Newell’s Old Boys club. It is a youth club and he was in that club from 1995 to 2000. In the year 2000, he joined FC Barcelona B and continued in that club for four years. It was in the year 2004, he joined a professional football club for the first time and it is FC Barcelona. It is one of the best football clubs in the world. Messi is still playing for Barcelona. He has been playing for them for the last 5 years. There is no chance of Messi joining any other club or Barcelona selling him to other clubs. He is one of the key players in their side. He started playing for his country in the year 2005. And he is still there in the team.
Messi was deficient of a growth hormone at the age of 11. And everyone thought that he would never be able to play football again. But his parents were still having hopes. So, they decided to move to Barcelona where they thought they would find better treatment for thier child. Soon Messi decided to join the Barcelona club and at that time he was just 13 years old. The club promised to pay the treatment amount for him if he signs to be with the club. So, he signed the contract and started playing for FC Barcelona B at the age of 13. He started hitting goals for them and they were much delighted to have Messi with them.
At the age of 17, he got offer from the FC Barcelona club and he was more than happy to play for them. His first match was against Espanyol. But he couldn’t hit any goal against them. His first goal was in the following year and that was against Albacete Balcompie.
Messi even got offers from the International team of Spain. But he rejected it. Then afterwards, we saw him playing for Argentina in the World Youth Championship and it was in the year 2005. He was the top scorer of that tournament. At the age of 18, one of the best football players, Maradona reviewed him as his successor. This was really one of the greatest moments in Messi’s life.
