Iniesta had was going to join the youth club of Real Madrid when he was just 12 years old. But, his parents didn’t like it and had intentions to join him in the Barcelona youth club. So they moved to spain for the same reason and Iniesta joined the Barce youth club. It was not actually a club, it was a school named La Masia. He started playing as a mid fielder, but soon he developed into an attacking mid fielder. His debut match was in the year 2002 and it was against Brugge KV in the UEFA champions league.

It was in the year, in which he got a permanent position in the team. And he was able to play almost all the matches of that season. Not just that, he was the one who had played the most number of mathces that season in his team, Barca. He is a good player in the sense that he helps other players to scores. He used to provide good goal scoring opportunities to his fellow team mates like Eto and Ronaldinho. But, he himself couldn’t hit too many goals. 

And it was in the season 2005-2006, when Iniesta became one of the best players in Barca. He used to get more playing hours and also regular starts. And also these because of Xavi. Xavi got injured in this season and thus this provided more opportunities to Iniesta. But Iniesta took everything the best way he could. He played for more hours than he used to and thus improved in his tactics and ball controlling abilities.

Iniesta’s debut for his country, Spain was in the year 2001. And that was for the under 16 UEFA European championship. Spain did win the championship and Iniesta played a good role in winning Spain the champioship. He was in the squad of UEFA European Under-19 Championship as well. And it was held in the year 2002. Iniesta got a chance to play in the 2006 world cup as well.
