FC Barcelona is a football club which is located in Barcelona, Spain. It was founded in the year 1899 by a group of people, including Joan Gamper. It is one of the best football clubs in the Spanish league. Some of the other clubs which was founded during that time by the Britishers were the Athletico Bilbao and the Real Madrid. It didn’t take much time for this newly born football club to become famous. It competed with some of the best clubs of that time in Copa Del Rey and thus emerged as one of the best clubs even in those early days. The first trophy was won by Barcelone for winning the Copa Macaya title and it was in the year 1902. 

Barca has won the La Liga titles the most number of times than any other club and thus it has a record in it’s name for the same reason. Till now it has won 18 La Liga Titles. The fans of Barca are confident that they will continue to win more La Liga titles because of the current form of the club. Besides La Liga, it has won 24 Spanish  Cups, 2 League Cups and 7 Spanish Super Cups. These are not easy things and full credit goes to the players who made this possible. Not just that, Barcelona has won 12 European cups. Thus they are one of the best football clubs in European football. Barca has world records in it’s name for bringing home the UEFA cup 4 times and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup 3 times.

Barcelona is one of the third richest football clubs in the world and in the last season, it was with a revenue of more than 300 million Euros. Diego Maradona was one of the early team members of FC Barcelona. He was bought to the club from Boca Juniors and it was for a record transfer fee and individual fee. Soon, Barcelona won the Copa Del Rey defeating Real Madrid in the finals. Maradona played a very good role in that final match that provided them the victory. But, he was there only for a short time. 

It was in the year 2003, some of the best football players came into this club. Those are Ronaldinho, Marquez, Eto, Deco and Guily. Some of these players are still in the club and they have provided stunning victories over the years for FC Barcelona.
